Karthago Hammamet

The place : Hammamet is a seaside resort situated in Tunisia, in the Northeast of Africa, and is a city whose feet bathe in the Mediterranean sea. This peninsula is reminiscent of the Cote d′Azur or the Costa del Sol in Spain, its orange and palm trees, plus the smell of jasmine setting the scene.

With its sand beaches, its Medina′s secret alleyways, and its marina, Hammamet is one of the country′s hot spots when it comes to tourism, just like the island of Djerba or Essaouira in Morocco. Hotels and residences : Hotel "Karthago Hammamet"
Hotel Karthago Hammamet is situated on the long Yasmine Hammamet promenade, on the water′s edge and facing the marina, in the South of the city.

It is 7kms away from the city centre.

It is located at equal distance from the Citrus and the Yasmine golf.

The hotel boasts a very particuliar architecture, reminiscent of the spirit of luxury steamliners, as its design, comfort and colours all remind of a ship′s stern.

It is a modern and imposing building with a maritime theme to its decoration, with ropes and riggings, polished glass and marine details to show for this atmosphere.

It features 300 rooms, 1 Presidential suite, 4 senior suites and 4 appartments. All are fitted with satellite TV, air-conditioning and adjustable heating, a direct-dial telephone, a bathroom with separate toilets, a balcony, an inroom safe, a mini-bar, a hair dryer and an access to individual Internet connexion

The rooms′ decoration is rather neutral and classical.

Restaurants : Restaurant "Ennesma"
This restaurant is only open in the high season, and offers barbecue and grilled food for lunch, on a terrace right beside the swimming pool.

Open from 12.30 to 5pm.

Restaurant "Le Phénicien"
This restaurant serves international cuisine with buffets on the menu for all 3 services. At lunch, you are also free to choose from three separate menus.

Open from 6.30 to 10am, from 12.30 to 2.30pm and from 7 to 10pm


Restaurant "Le Portofino"
Mediterranean cuisine is served à la carte at the Portofino.

Open from 12.30 to 3pm and from 7 to 11pm.

Sports et leisures : Hotel Karthago Hammamet has a whole myriad of activities on offer for its guests the time of their thalasso holiday, such as outdoor swimming pool, covered swimming pool, fitness room, Quick and floodlit tennis courts, multisport floodlit pitch (mini-football, basket-ball, handball and volley-ball), an ice rink and a playground.
Excursions are organised by the hotel and depart from the reception.

Near the thalasso centre: Yasmine Golf, an 18-hole, 6115m long course located on a 6Oha hillside park. 9-hole practice.

Golf Citrus is proud of its two 18-hole, 6175m long (PAR 72) championship courses, strewn in the midst of lakes and forests. 9-hole practice.

Things to see: the XVth century Kasbah, the private museum inside the Medina, the theatre set in the lush gardens, the Sidi Djedidi site and its collection of Roman mozaics, and Pupput, a stop on the via romana which used to link Carthage to Hadrumetes.
